Dr. David Robinson MB. BS.[WA] FRACP
Co-Director of the Gold Coast Centre for Digestive Diseases.
Co-Director of the Liver Centre
I graduated from University of Western Australia in 1967 and moved to Queensland in 1969. I worked and studied at Royal Brisbane Hospital for 4 years, attaining my specialist degree [FRACP] in 1973. Subsequent post-graduate training was in Perth and Adelaide.
I moved to the Gold Coast in 1975 and have practiced purely in Gastroenterology since 1978. My initial practice combined both public and private spheres of work at both Gold Coast Hospital and Tweed Heads/Murwillumbah Hospitals.
I helped set up the initial gastroenterology service at Gold Coast Hospital in 1976.
I have a long-standing interest in continuing medical education and have been involved in establishing continuing medical education meetings through the local AMA association in the past and more recently at Pindara Hospital.
In the past my gastroenterological interests encompassed all aspects of gastroenterology. Of recent years my interest has particularly been in hepatology [especially Hepatitis C] and inflammatory bowel disease. I maintain a keen interest in all aspects of endoscopic work.
I am available for consultation at Brockway House in Southport, and John Flynn Hospital in Tugun. I perform endoscopic procedures at Pindara Day Procedure Centre, Pacific Private Day Hospital, and John Flynn Hospital Day Theatre. I am able to look after inpatients at Allamanda Hospital and Pindara Hospital.
It is the aim of our practice that your visit should be as comfortable, easy, and as personalized as possible. Please feel free to ask about anything that concerns you and especially if there is something that you don't understand.
